Infographics are a great way to turn complex, data-intensive information into something easier to understand. In the development of an infographic, it is essential that some steps are followed. First we analyzed the information so that we could understand how the story could be told. This step was complicated! After that, we did a kind of pre-organization of everything we collected and then we built a structural sketch -- a kind of spine of what the infographic would be. The image below is one of these sketches.
It was these sketches that guided the entire content of the infographic. Having them as a starting point, we knew what to write, what to draw in each part of the story and where to put them. Sometimes, during the development, we adjusted some elements or part of the structure.
The graphic design we built for the infographics was pretty straightforward. We split the content basically into three structures. First, there was the timeline that guided the chronology. Second, above the timeline we wrote the explanations of the biblical text and the prophecy; and third, at the top of the infographic, we placed the information related to the heavenly sanctuary. Sometimes we had a second parallel timeline comparing concurrent data with the main timeline.
It's one thing to create a graphic design for one single infographic. It's a much more complex thing to create a graphic design for 24 infographics. That is, we would have to use the same graphic structure for all the chapters of the book of Revelation that the book would cover. It was a super challenge, and here I want to make something very clear: Without God's help at all times, it would not be possible to complete this project. He moved us, He empowered us and He strengthened us too.
The image below explains the division of the book's contents.
